The Ottawa River Institute and the Pembroke and Area Field Naturalists have been collaborating on a project called the Renfrew County Biotabase. The Renfrew County Biotabase is an on-line database that is recording the distribution and diversity of the flora and fauna across the County. This innovative and ambitious project has the support of many amateur and professional natural scientists who are providing and uploading data to the biotabase.

The biotabase contains thousands of records from many different observers across the county; records include birds, butterflies, dragonflies, mammals, plants and many other observances. Take a moment to enjoy the video below on Renfrew County butterflies.
