Group Paddles This Summer

The Ottawa River Institute is partnering with the Bonnechere River Watershed Project (BRWP) this summer to bring group paddling opportunities to residents and tourists. Along with these paddles, listed below are some other local paddles and paddle related events. Some of the events also feature local food and entertainment, and all feature lots of fun!

Warm up your Paddling Season with Some Paddle Films!

Fri. June 5 - Bill Mason Film Fest with Paul Mason

6:30- 10pm at the Eagles Nest, Eganville Arena. $5.

Sat. June 6 - Wilber Lake to Eganville Paddle - $10 in advance, $13 day of paddle.

Followed by local food and music (open mic).

Sat. June 13 - 9:30am - Bonnechere River, Renfrew to Ottawa River Paddle and Clean up - $10. Organized by BRWP and the Ottawa River Institute. Register by email to: info@bonnechereriver.ca Rendezvous: End of Plaunt St, Renfrew. Bring a lunch.

Sat. June 20 - 9:00 am - Bonnechere River, Round Lake to Golden Lake Paddle - $10. Organized by BRWP and the Ottawa River Institute. Register by email to: info@ottawariverinstitute.ca

Rendezvous: End of John Foy Lane, Round Lake. Bring along some lunch or snacks. The ORI AGM Follows at 2:30 at the Sands on Golden Lake.

Sat. June 27, 8:30am registration. 9:30 departure -Sand Point to Red Pine Bay Paddle as part of Ottawa Riverfest, Braeside. $10. Rendezvous: Red Pine Bay. Drop off canoes/kayaks in advance at Sand Point Wharf.

Sat. July 18 - 1:00pm - Bonnechere River, Eganville to Fourth Chute Paddle and Fiddle - $10. Followed by Bonnechere Caves optional BBQ ($5) and Music ($10). Organized by BRWP, Bonnechere Caves. Register by email to: info@bonnechereriver.ca

Rendezvous: Bonnechere Caves

Sat. Aug. 8 - 1:00pm - Madawaska River, Cherry Point Park to Burnstown Beach Paddle- $10. Organized by BRWP and MacNab Braeside Township. Followed by optional BBQ at Neat Cafe ($12)
